Zoutboek

The 'Nierstichting'   (the Kidney foundation) warns us that many of us consume far more salt than is good for us, without being aware. Continuation of high salt consumption on a daily basis can have serious effects on our health. High blood pressure results in heart and vessels diseases, and salt is an even bigger threat to the kidneys. Reframing Studio developed these instructional devices to increase our awareness of how much salt we consume.

Schaaldynamiek

Negative emotions for positive experiences

Experience-driven design considers all aspects of a product – its appearance, cultural meaning, functionality, interaction, usability, technology, and indirect consequences of use – with the aim to optimize and orchestrate all these aspects and create the best possible user experience. Since the late 1990s, designers and design researchers have begun to explicitly investigate how products elicit emotions in users, and how knowledge of specific emotions like joy, pride, frustration or sadness could help designers to improve the user experience of products.

Reframing Studio is on the move

Since November we operate out of our new studio located in the centre of Amsterdam: an old dam with two revamped silo buildings houses a mix of creatives, artists, small businesses. These were re-developed in the nineties as a catalyst project for urban renewal of the so called IJ-shores, a ongoing effort aiming at restoring the lustre of the waterfront.
